After ten years in the “Red Barn,” IHM has relocated just down the road, on Route 202 in Bantam.
The new location started out over sixty years ago as a knitting mill and has hosted a number of different businesses since then. The building’s new owners, Sportsmens of Litchfield, purchased the structure last spring to house their retail and wholesale sporting goods business.
In-House Marketing occupies about 2200 square feet on the west side of building. Getting the space ready for the Agency’s needs required extensive electrical and mechanical work, outfitting a kitchen and conference room, plus new ceiling, alarm system, and phone system. According to IHM’s Wendy Gladstein, “the big challenge was to manage the construction and move, without impacting client work. It was hard, but we did it. ”
For some at IHM, leaving the red barn after 10 years
was a little sentimental. But the move was necessary to accommodate a growing staff and the need for more flexible space. The staff has quickly settled into the new space, and enjoys the added bonus of being located at the center of some of the best local food. ”We have our favorite deli right across the street, our favorite market a half block away, an artisanal bread bakery down the street and a high-end dairy across the street” noted Gladstein.
In-House Marketing, which will celebrate its 20th year in 2012, is now located at 725 Bantam Road, in Bantam CT. The mailing address, phone number and emails all remain the same.
